The area offers several well-equipped sport climbing walls with routes of varying difficulty. Just a short distance from the lodge, you'll find the Spluga climbing area, close to the village of Maloja. And in less than an hour, just across the Italian border, you can reach the well-known Sasso del Drago.
Starting from the 1,800 meters of altitude where Maloja is located, you can enjoy exploring trails that descend all the way down to the valley floor at around 690 meters. For hiking enthusiasts, our valley offers a 360° experience of its stunning natural beauty: some paths connect picturesque villages, while others provide panoramic views or serve educational purposes, like the “Sentiero Segantini” or the “Smugglers’ Trail” at Lake Bitabergh, especially enjoyable for younger visitors.
The Bregaglia Valley and Maloja are crisscrossed with trails and routes ideal for mountain biking. We will kindly provide our guests with e-bikes, perfect for discovering the lush landscapes and tranquil lakes that surround us. More than just a sport, mountain biking is also a sustainable, eco-friendly way to move between the charming villages scattered throughout the valley.
The lake landscape around the Maloja Pass also offers the chance to enjoy water sports. Lake Sils is ideal for sailing and windsurfing, especially on windier days, while Lake Cavloccio is perfect for a refreshing dip during the warmer months.
The Grisons and Bregaglia Valleys offer ideal conditions for traditional and regulated hunting. The activity typically focuses on red deer, roe deer, and wild boar, in accordance with local wildlife management and conservation practices.
In summer, the warm temperatures make the sparkling waters of Bregaglia even more inviting, an ideal setting for lake fishing. From the Maira River to small streams, brooks, and alpine ponds, all the way to the largest and most majestic lake in the area, Lake Sils in Maloja. In these mountain waters, sport fishing is permitted with the purchase of a daily license.
